Ethical Trading
Prominent proactively works to ensure that our sourcing methods are compliant with legal and ethical requirements. We source from accredited mills and factories which comply with the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code. They operate in full compliance with all applicable national laws, rules and regulations and we communicate our expected standard to all employees. Prominent is committed to the highest standards of quality and integrity in all our sourcing operations.

We require all our factories to maintain an annual audit schedule, carried out by a recognised third party audit company, to an approved format such as WRAP, SMETA, BSCI or SA8000. Our ethical compliance teams based in Dhaka, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh maintain constant dialogue and support to all our factories. We can therefore ensure all our factories provide a safe workplace that is non-discriminatory, with freely chosen labour, living wages and access to worker representative support.

We also ensure we source all of our materials as ethically as possible. Garments are produced using raw materials (defined as fabrics, buttons, zips, collar bones, thread, interlining, poppers, elastic, etc.) and packaging which comply with all applicable legislation regarding chemical and product safety. All raw materials and packaging are sourced from accredited suppliers and subjected to testing to ensure integrity in our products.

All materials are sourced from suppliers in compliance with REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 requiring that the importers and manufacturers of goods into the EU are fully aware of the chemical content in their products. We also ensure our materials suppliers comply with the chemical restrictions stated in the legislation and that no Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), are present. A full list of SVHC can be found at

We are also proud to be supporting members of the 'Textile Exchange' organisation, a prestigious global community collaboratively working to drive sustainability practices in the textile industry.
